3/26/2017 update: This is the 2nd update I've made for this review. For those who don't want to read the whole thing, here's the short version: I was quoted for a set of Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds. I went in the next day and they tried instaling cheap Fuel Max tires on my vehicle without telling me. I inspected my car before leaving the lot, confronted them about it, and they feigned ignorance. Luke, who I believe is one of the managers, would not honor the original quote that his employee made. To be fair, he agreed to put Cooper CS5's on my vehicle (better than Fuel Max but still cheaper than the TripleTreds) at no extra cost. I made a fair review of my experience and gave them 2/5 stars, as I was ultimately unsatisfied. One of the co-managers, Darren, reached out in response. He said he would honor the original quote. The tires would not be in stock until March (another 3 weeks), so he said he would contact me then. I'm updating this review to confirm that Darren's word was good. I now have TripleTreds on my vehicle at the cost I was quoted for. They were installed in the first week of March. It cost me an extra 3-4 hours of time I could have spent at my work, so I don't really feel like I got a great deal. I am somewhat hesitant to take my car to Vision Tire and Auto again because I went through a lot of trouble for what should have been a straightforward service. Hopefully they've taken this opportunity to reevaluate their strategy for resolving valid customer complaints. original review (2/1/2017): I saw that this business was getting great reviews and decided to try buying tires from them (local shop) instead of a conglomerate like Walmart. I made an appointment over the phone to have Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds installed on my vehicle. I confirmed the model and out-the-door price with Josh twice. The next day (today, January 31 2017) I went in for my appointment as scheduled and confirmed a third time with Josh in person that TripleTreds were going on my vehicle for the discussed price. I was not given an invoice before they started working, but I thought it was unnecessary. They were friendly and the two other customers seemed to be regulars who were happy with the staff. 2 hours later I was charged the agreed-on price and then received a receipt stapled to an invoice. The invoice had the tires labeled as Goodyear Fuel Max tires, not TripleTreds. I asked and the employee at the register (not Josh, who left) confirmed they were Fuel Max tires installed on my vehicles, which I never once asked for. A third employee who I took to be the manager (update: later learned his name was Luke) came out and apologized for the "miscommunication." He offered a complimentary alignment. I told him I did not want Fuel Max tires or the alignment. He said he could not get TripleTred tires. I had been there for 2 hours already, and he already had my money, so I asked for Michelin Defender tires instead. These tires are cheaper than TripleTreds, but the manager (Luke) wanted to charge me an extra 150 dollars. I ended up settling with some Cooper CS5 tires for an additional hour of my time, which the manager claimed he was losing money on. This is not accurate, since they are much cheaper than TripleTreds and are comparable in price to the Fuel Max tires. In my opinion, the manager should have honored the price that was originally quoted me and installed Michelin Defender tires, which are comparable in price to the TripleTreds that I was supposed to have installed. Although friendly, the staff at Vision Tire & Auto tried to install tires that are far inferior to the model I asked for on my vehicle and hope I didn't notice. I will never do business with them again and will try to dissuade anyone who thinks of giving them a try. 2/7/2017 update: 2 days after posting my review, Darren, a cofounder and manager of Vision Tire and Auto, reached out. I gave him a call the same day and spoke with him about my experience for about 10 minutes. He was extremely courteous and apologized for his staff. He indicated that he discussed the issue to great length with his staff to prevent something like that from happening again. He also offered to replace my current tires with the Goodyear Assurance TripleTreds I was originally quoted for at no additional cost once he had them in stock. Darren estimated that he would have the TripleTreds in stock in March, so I am hopeful that I hear back from him in 3-7 weeks. I will update my review at that time, hopefully to confirm that the situation is rectified.
